    The greenhouse effect is when carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere absorb the infrared rays, forming a kind of "heat blanket" around the Earth.

    The Greenhouse Effect is when ultraviolet rays and infrared rays come down and get absorbed into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxcide is very important in this effect because it and other gases absorb the rays that come down.
